This was a great accommodation, I would highly recommend it. Excellent location, very very clean, quiet at night. spacious showers with plenty of hot water, comfortable beds. breakfast was abundant, a very good value for the money. but the best thing is the personnel. Everybody was incredibly kind, warm and professional, always with a smile. they made restaurant reservations for us and gave us great recommendations for food and things to do. When my husband got sick during our stay they helped in any way possible, gave us food in the middle of the night, offered to help with going to the pharmacy, checked on us and provided a very caring environment. We have traveled a lot, and this is by far the most welcoming hotel we have ever visited, we have been truly impressed! I am looking forward to visit them again soon.

Palazzo Gatto Art Hotel & SPA - BW Premier Collection, hotel in Trapani

Conveniently located in the center of Trapani, Palazzo Gatto Art Hotel & SPA - BW Premier Collection provides air-conditioned rooms, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a shared lounge.

The hotel was well situated and very clean. The room as well as the bathroom are a nice size and well decorated. The breakfast is good - it's in buffet form it has all you would need to be happy. They serve fresh orange, which is a very nice touch. There is an open roofed breakfast space as well a breakfast room. The people serving are very nice. If you arrive by car, you can drive up to the hotel to leave your suitcase and then find parking - which we did not find difficult. The communication through WhatsApp is very seamless with the hotel team.

FAQ about B&Bs in Trapani

Seasoned with Life

Kite-shaped Trapani makes an impressive sight from lofty Mount Erice, connected to the peninsula below by cable car. On a clear day, the mountain also offers views of Tunisia - one destination of ferries from Trapani Port, alongside Cagliari, Pantelleria and the offshore Egadi Islands.

Overlooking the port is the old town, where arched doorways on narrow streets open onto many cheap apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com. Shabby chic façades sit alongside historic churches, such as understated Trapani Cathedral, somewhat lost amid elegant Corso Vittorio Emanuele, where pavement cafes sit in front of pastel-coloured buildings and metal balconies.

At the tip of the peninsula is the fortress-like Tower of Ligny lighthouse, now housing the Prehistory and Sea Museum. The Colombaia Castle protects the port from an island to the south, while in the other direction the sweeping coastline passes some beachfront hotels with swimming pools.

Villa Margherita Park offers shade from the Mediterranean sun, and Triton’s Fountain graces a neighbouring square. The simple façade of the Basilica of Maria Santissima Annunziata hides the treasures within, including a statue of the Madonna of Trapani which is at the heart of the Easter ‘Misteri’ celebrations.

Between the city and Trapani-Birgi Airport, historic windmills sit beside salt pans. The Salt Museum provides details of this major industry.

There are great restaurants, good shopping, and you can reach a lot of wonderful places such as Erice, San Vito lo Capo, the Egadi Islands, Marsala and loads more. Perfect town for a short break or for a beach holiday, the town is in between a harbor and the beach. The city centre is vibrant, lots of restaurants and bars. The surrounding areas worth a visit if you are interested in arts, nature or simply laze on the beach. People are friendly, the food spectacular!

Trapani is lovely town nicely laid out with good public transport - although beware as the busses stop running by about 21:30 in the evening and none on a Sunday. A good selection of shops for those wanting to indulge. The old town is stunning and a must to visit both during the day and particularly in the evening when it totally comes alive with an abundance of restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.

Surprisingly quaint with lots to do.

Surprisingly quaint with lots to do. Great sandy beaches, lots of shops and amazing restaurants and bars in the old town. Also provides easy access to lots of other places to explore like Erice via cable car, Egadi Islands by ferry and Marsala, Castellemare del Golfo by train and Palermo by bus. It wasn't overly touristy either and got a really nice, more authentic experience here compared to some of the other cities in Sicily. Highly recommend! 3-4 days would be perfect

I liked everything. The house was best located. Veryyy equiped with anything you can think of. Luca was the best host I ever encountered as an avid traveler. Very disponibel and cool. The house as I said had everything from kitchen stuff to different hair dryers to iron and washing maschine. Even cool drinks. I recommend this place as a 5 star place, location and service. Much love from Albania. Pau, Silda, Olsi, Blerta.

Very trendy boutique hotel in the Trapani historic centre. We had a noise problem with the first room but they changed to another quieter room immediately. A big public parking is just opposite of the hotel and no problem of finding a space. You have a nice panoramic view from the roof top terrace. A lot of selection of restaurants in just a few minutes walk and we enjoyed walking along the beach in the evening.

The view of the water from the dining/living room was even better than the pictures. Open the doors to the balcony and hear the waves. Like a beach resort even though you are in a city. Bed was comfortable and kitchen reasonably well equipped. Nice table to eat and play games. Great location a stones throw from the main sights in old town of Trapani. Several restaurants within 2 blocks.

The room was spacious and had nice touches, and we took advantage of the 15% discount in the attached restaurant where we had an excellent dinner and a great breakfast (included) before heading out the next day.

very nice and kind staff :D response quickly every time easily to get necessities, such as mineral water and shampoo. The most important thing is the fantastic sea view! more than the pictures. Also, there’s a bar beside the apartments, you can feel the summer vibe with the DJ at that bar when the sun goes down. The best experience in Sicily.
